CHICAGO SOCIAL July1995
Chicago is going to the dogs. On any given summer day in the city, the streets are filled with four footed pedestrians taking their faithful owners for a walk. No doubt about it, Chicagoans love animals. For the discriminating owner, nothing is impossible to find that will make life a little more luxurious for these special family members. If you think all this gives new meaning to the saying “Its a dogs life’, book a reservation at Citizen Canine, Chicago’s finest bed and breakfast for dogs. A Victorian boarding home in Lincoln Park. Vacationing guests are not confined to cages at Citizen Canine, but are allowed to run free through the house. On hot days panting puppies cool off in wading pools.

It’s a dogs life.
Citizen Canine is a froufrou bed and breakfast for dogs in Chicago’s Lincoln Park. These dogs have it so good they don’t want to go home. Although the clientele tends to be affluent- half from the city and half from the north and west suburbs such as Lake Forest, Winnetka, Oakbrook and Naperville-Citizen Canine is relatively laid back.
